AOL Community Photo Challenge

For me....it's just for fun!

Black and white is a special challenge.  I don't know about the rest of the participants, but I spent a good deal of time settling on just which image I would submit.  I converted and played with three...but probably could have stayed with it all day.

I took this photo out the window of our moving car when we were in Montana this summer.  I wasn't that fussed with it in color, so it was never posted.  I like it better in greyscale however, it really did take some playing to get enough contrast in the details.  I'm thinking now that many of the Montana photos might be good greyscale candidates.

Oh....what the heck, here's another.  I was just closing down the editor and looking at it again, I thought....why not.

:)

Also Montana...on the other side of the highway.

Be sure to check out the other black & white landscape submissions here and here.

yes, it's so hard for me too to find a good photo to convert....especially landscape.  You did well!

Kat...really great images. I love the open feel of them. Hard to get that in NJ. :)

these are both wonderful photos, Kat!  I've always wanted to see Montana.

I had a hard time choosing my photo as well!  I narrowed it down to about five images before finally deciding on just one.

I posted two also - it can be hard to choose one photo at times.  As for the two you presented, I have to admit the bottom is my favorite.  The other is good especially since you took it flying down the road! :-)

Wonderful pictures hon! I'm more parcial to the second image. It reminds me of the saying "At home on the range"...
