One Perfect Scene...
Is there such a thing?
I knew I was going to have to go into the archives for this one. No way I'm going to find my "one perfect scene" on Long Island now, before spring has really sprung.
Perhaps that perfect scene is a perfect moment captured.
I settled on a landscape from our trip to Glacier National Park in Montana this past summer. It is a scene from Avalanche Lake. I chose it because I remember how I felt sitting there in a bowl of moutains. You see one view here, but mountains of this stature nearly surround the lake. It was so quiet and so beautiful. It's one of those places that, even while you are there, it's hard to believe that such an amazing place exists on the same planet where you live.
It's a place I hope to go back to, maybe in the late spring or early summer when the falls are running strong. Five falls feed the lake...but when we were there, they had slowed significantly.
A place of peace, a place of utter beauty. A place I wish everyone could experience, just once.
Please be sure to visit all the other Round Robin participants here.

Always, Carly
This is one of those places that I would love to go some day. I've seen so many wonderful pictures from this park. I'm sure I could get lost in those scenes for much longer than I could ever stay.

I've only been to Glacier National Park once and it's been on my list of places to return.
